ISC 2006 Testimony

I am a former student who used the A.C.E. curriculum from 3rd through 12th levels. As a student, I participated in many Regional and International Student Conventions. My life was greatly impacted by the evening rallies, the wholesome competition, the professional manner in which the conventions were always held—the entire convention experience. In 1985 I was part of a 1st place PACE Bowl team. This was a very fulfilling experience and part of the lasting memory the A.C.E. International Student Convention provides.

I now have five children whom I have been homeschooling for the past ten years, and we have been using the A.C.E. curriculum. For the past two years, my oldest child has attended the International Student Convention and was honored to win 2nd place in Essay Writing this past May. I was very pleased to discover that the quality of the convention had not declined but had actually improved since I attended in 1990. I was so happy that my daughter (and her younger siblings who had come along) was able to hear some of the same speakers and experience the same competitions and wholesome environment I had experienced. I was truly impressed and encouraged by what I saw, and I particularly enjoyed the Grand Entry. I believe the Lord was greatly honored by that. The Lord’s presence was there in the rallies, and many lives were impacted. From someone who was there 20 years ago, I can tell you that A.C.E. is doing a great job! Thanks for all you do.
