It is easy to tell which Rosetta Stone courses are new; all courses are now identified by version number. Please note that the new Version 3 products replace Version 2 products (Levels 1 and 2), that are then no longer available to order. If you have already purchased Version 2 language courses, you may continue to prescribe and assign them.
IMPORTANT!
The assigning of credits has changed for Version 3 products. For each level of Version 3 language courses completed (Levels 1, 2, or 3), the student is awarded 1 credit. This is a change from Version 2 where each completed level is awarded 2 credits.

Version 3 Classroom Edition offers 11 Curricula Templates. This allows the school to use a prebuilt extended curriculum path for a full year of learning or to create a custom curriculum path based on the student's learning objectives.
Version 3 Classroom Edition offers Rosetta Stone Manager for administration, curricula, and reports. In the administration feature, a hierarchy structure can be created to customize the organizational needs of the school. The predefined curriculum paths provide choices to assign each student depending on need. The reporting feature allows the ability to view progress of students, overall time, overall score, time per activity, and score per activity in easy-to-read reports and graphs. Reports can be viewed, printed, or exported. When using the Rosetta Stone Manager, multiple new students can be set up quickly, and individual students can easily be added.
With each Version 3 Classroom Edition language level purchased, online activation of the license is required. Each school license is for one computer; however, the computer may be networked. A single license allows one user at a time to access the program on the network.
Each Version 3 Classroom Edition language level purchased includes these items: Application CD, Language CD, Installation Guide, Illustrated User's Guide, Activation ID, and Administrator Guide. A Teacher Pack may be available for some language courses.

New Level 1 V3 (1 credit) Build a Foundation of fundamental vocabulary and essential language structure. Students will gain the confidence to master basic conversational skills including greetings and introductions. Level 1 also includes colors, adjectives, numbers, prepositions, definite and indefinite articles, singular and plural nouns, family relations, the five senses, and time of day.

New Level 2 V3 (1 credit) Navigate your surroundings while building on the vocabulary and essential language structure learned in Level 1. Students will learn to talk about their environment such as giving and getting directions, using transportation, telling time, dining out, enjoying basic social interactions, and much more. Level 2 also includes verb tenses, adverbs, formal imperatives, school subjects, months of the year, and emotions.

New Level 3 V3 (1 credit) Connect with the world around you by building on the language fundamentals and conversational skills you developed in Levels 1 and 2. Students will learn to share ideas and opinions, express feelings, and talk about everyday life, interests, work, current events, and much more. Level 3 also includes household items, physical activity, animals, possessive pronouns, present subjunctive, present perfect, weights, and measurements.

Version 2

Two Credits Per Level
|
Version 2 Classroom Edition offers a comprehensive lesson track that provides thorough instruction in a language content as it guides students through 7 exercises, giving 3 tests in each lesson.
Version 2 Classroom Edition also offers a Student Management System. With SMS, the school plans lessons, follows student progress, and generates reports for the student's current lesson track, completed lessons, test scores, time on task, status of lesson proficiency achieved, and date and time exercises were completed.
Each Version 2 language level purchased includes the Handbook for Teachers, curriculum text, Student Management CD, Application CD, Language CD, Installation Guide, and Illustrated User's Guide.

Level 1 V2 (2 credits) is designed for beginning language learners and contains 8 units of instructional material with 92 lessons including a review chapter for each unit.

Level 2 V2 (2 credits) is designed for intermediate language learners and contains 11 units of instructional material with 118 lessons including review chapters.
