I graduated as an A.C.E. thoroughbred and attended six years of Regional and International Student Conventions. Christ has used this ministry to bless me and help me mature both mentally and spiritually. After receiving graduation gifts, I wanted to donate to BLESS. I received the exact amount of money to open a BLESS Center. I wanted to give 10 students the opportunity to read, write, do simple mathematics, and more important, to meet their Saviour. My students were excited to raise funds by putting in (a jar) 10¢ per test taken. Carol S.
Consider these fundraising ideas:
- Hold contests between Learning Centers or teams of students.
- Conduct a Bike-a-Thon or Walk-a-Thon.
- Give a tithe from a school fundraiser.
- Take up a missions offering each week in chapel.
- Request new BLESS bank stickers for your fundraising containers.
- Each ministry or person who raises $200 or more to open a BLESS Center will receive a Certificate of Appreciation from Mrs. Howard.
- Each school or homeschool that attends the International Student Convention, donates $200 to open a BLESS Center, and submits it before May 1, 2013, will be recognized at ISC.
- Letters and pictures submitted with donations, telling how God has blessed and how the money was raised, may be featured at ISC.
