My dear friends and co-laborers . . . We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers; Remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love . . . . (I Thessalonians 1:2, 3)
The 2012-2013 school year will soon come to a close. However, as a Christian educator, there are still many tasks before you—graduation, awards program, final preparations for International Student Convention, and keeping your students motivated and focused on their PACE work as the anticipated joys of summer vacation begin to fill their minds.
This is National Teacher Appreciation week. Please allow me to express my heartfelt appreciation for your labors for our Lord and each child He places in your realm of influence. As you minister to the students and their parents, remember you are serving a great and awesome God who has promised to give you wisdom, strength, and peace. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. (James 1:5) The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace. (Psalm 29:11)
A servant of Jesus Christ, for the children’s sake, and for God’s glory,
Esther Howard, D.Litt.
