|And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15) How grateful I am for faithful pastors who serve our God as under-shepherds of the Lord Jesus Christ. They truly have a prominent calling.
October has been designated as “Clergy Appreciation Month.” The staff of Accelerated Christian Education joins me in expressing our gratitude for pastors who feed and care for their flocks. God has placed in their hearts a conviction to provide a Biblical education for the “lambs” in their ministry “daily in the Temple.” And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children. (Deuteronomy 6: 6-7a) We are blessed with pastors who stand strong for Christian education and proclaim with David, “Is there not a cause?”
May I encourage you to pray for your pastor, and the pastor’s family, and to look for ways you can be a blessing and encouragement to them. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake.
(I Thessalonians 5:12-13a)
A servant of Jesus Christ, for the children’s sake and God’s glory,

Appreciative—Expressing thanks to God and others for the ways they have blessed and served me. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. (I Thessalonians 5:18)
